If a pack contains a sticker you already have, that sticker is added to your duplicates. To find your duplicates, simply go to your collection overview and tap on "Duplicates" in the top right.

These duplicates cumulates and once you have collected enough, the progress bar will show as completed and you can exchange them for a new pack which may allow you to complete your chapter and / or your album.
