The following technical tips should help you with HTML5-related problems:

1) Try a different Internet browser

The GameDuell games are optimized for most common Internet browsers. If you are encountering technical difficulties with the games, switching to a different Internet browser can often fix the problem. Alternative browsers are free to download and install.

If you are using Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari, or Mozilla Firefox, you may encounter issues with HTML5 or WebGL (Web Graphics Library). We strongly recommend using the Google Chrome browser.

To play the latest versions of our games, your Internet browser must support WebGL as this is a requirement for HTML5 based content. WebGL is a new Internet-standard which displays 2D and 3D graphics in your Internet browser.

Important
If you suspect other causes for the technical problems you are encountering, please at least test one or more other browsers. This helps to rule out as many problems as possible.

2) Delete temporary Internet files

Please delete the temporary Internet data (cache and cookies) in your browser. Once complete, restart your browser. When deleting the data, ensure the time range “All time” has been selected (terminology may differ in some browsers). This will ensure all data has been deleted.

3) Check if your browser needs an update

In older browser versions not all HTML5 functions are supported. Please check if a new update is available for your browser. Refer to the links in point 1 to update your browser.

4) Optimize hardware acceleration in your browser

Enabling hardware acceleration in your Internet browser can solve technical problems. We recommend testing both settings (enabled and disabled) as this can have different impacts depending on your setup.

Google Chrome
  • Click on the 3 dots at the top right of your browser
  • Click on “Settings” and “Advanced”
  • Click on “System” to find “Use hardware acceleration when available”
  • Turn on or off hardware acceleration. Restart your Internet browser to see if this improves your experience. Alternatively, go to “Settings” and search for “hardware” (see screenshot).

Mozilla Firefox
  • Click on the three horizontal lines at the right of your browser
  • Click on “Preferences” and “General"
  • Under “Performance” find “Use recommended performance settings” and deselect
  • The “Use hardware acceleration when available” option will appear
  • Ensure this is selected to activate hardware acceleration
  • Restart your Internet browser to see if this improves your experience. Also try deactivating hardware acceleration as this may help. Alternatively, go to “Settings” and search for “hardware” (see screenshot).

Microsoft Edge
  • Click on the 3 dots at the top right of your browser
  • Click on “Settings”
  • Click on “System” to find “Use hardware acceleration when available”
  • Ensure hardware acceleration is enabled, restart your Internet browser to see if the changes improve your experience. If hardware acceleration was enabled, deactivate it to see if this helps. Alternatively, go to “Settings” and search for “hardware” (see screenshot).

5) Does your computer meet the latest requirements?

Your computer should at least have the following:

Windows

2x 2.0 GHz (Celeron / Intel i3,i5,i7,i9 / AMD)
4 GB RAM
Intel HD / Intel UHD / Nvidia graphics card / AMD Radeon graphics card; 4 GB graphics
