If two players have the same amount of trophies, their experience points (XP) will determine which position they take on the leaderboard. For example, if two players have 30 trophies and are at the top of the league, the player with more XP will be displayed as 1st, and the player with less XP as 2nd. In the rare event that two players have the same amount of trophies and also have the same amount of XP, they will remain tied and share the same position, i.e. in the example above, both players would share first place.
